The Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs, or as we call it, “the Fed,” has been the home of the Austin Swing Syndicate since 1999 (the building was built in 1931). Our Thursday night dance is one of the longest, most well attended weekly swing dance events in the country! We host intro classes every week and you never need a partner.

What You Can Expect

Unless this is a special event, you can expect to dress comfortably — jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes are fine for your first time out.

The Fed is a family-friendly environment. We pride ourselves on being a very diverse group. On any given night there may be over 200 people. While the highest percentage of people are approximately age 22-29, the ages range from middle school and high school students on up to people in their 50s, 60s, and above.
